For this blog I’m doing a Q&A with b.lux boutique’s newest fashion expert. Allegra Scaletta joins us from Virginia Mary College of Art and Design. Scaletta is studying fashion merchandising.

Why did you decided to go into fashion merchandising?

Well I always had a love for fashion that I got from my mother and I figured that I would have a career that I love and enjoy doing everyday.

What is your favorite thing to wear?

I love to wear everything. The key to dressing is to have one key item, wither it’s a cute top, or an amazing pair of shoes, that’s what really makes an outfit.

Describe the perfect outfit for spring?

For spring I love a cute print dress with boots. Boots work well since its not too hot or too cold.

What is your go-to piece of clothing?

I am a real shoe lover. Shoes can complete your outfit. Its also a great, cheap way to change up a outfit you always wear to look like a bran new outfit.

We carry Michael Star’s prima cotton T’s at b.lux boutique. Can you explain to us what prima cotton is and why it’s better than other types of cotton?

 Pima cotton is cotton that is grown in Southwest United States, Peru, Australia and other countries. Pima cotton fibers are longer than normal cotton, which makes it more durable. Not only is pima cotton more durable it also softer and more  absorbent which makes it better for the summer.
